HostExcellence: Multiple Linux Servers Down

Our System Administrators detected an issue with sites hosted on multiple Linux servers. The connection between the servers and their storage was briefly lost and, to protect the data, servers automatically went into a read only state. These servers must now be systematically rebooted to return to normal service. No data loss is expected. A list of currently affected servers is provided below:

Our live chat provider is planning an infrastructure maintenance that will Start at 9:00 pm EST Saturday, 17 Sep and end at 9:00 am EST Sunday, 18 Sep

At the beginning and the end of maintenance, customers may experience chat slowness or disconnection. Ticket and phone support will remain fully operational throughout this maintenance.

At 7:00 ET the server fell into a read-only state and has been restarted.  The server is going through a mandatory File System Check and will be unavailable.  The websites and will be unavailable at this time.

Our system administrators detected a large amount of connections to the shared IP 173.83.53.2 on Web601.  The IP address has been filtered.

2016/09/10 10:50 PM,  the server fell into a read-only state and has been restarted.  The server is going through a mandatory File System Check and will be unavailable.  The websites and will be unavailable at this time.

2016/09/10 10:50 PM , the server is back to normal. 173.83.53.2 has been blocked for another 4 hours due to enormous load caused to Web601.
