DreamHost: Email connectivity issues for some users on homiemail-sub3 and homiemail-sub4 (RESOLVED)

One of our mail filers is currently experiencing an issue with its drives that requires it to be rebuilt. In order to speed up this process, we’ve taken it temporarily offline. As a result, some users on the homiemail-sub3 and homiemail-sub4 clusters will notice connectivity issues (affecting IMAP, POP3, and webmail logins) until this completes and we are able to re-mount the filer.

We will continue to post further updates as we have them below. If you have any questions or concerns, or are experiencing any other unrelated issues, please contact support so we can help!

Update 1:50pm PDT: We are happy to report that the issue is resolved! If you are still seeing issues, please contact support via the link above. Again, we want to thank you for your patience!

Update 1:15pm PDT: The rebuild is complete! We have remounted the filer and running some tests.  More updates to come. Thanks again for your patience!

Update 12:45pm PDT: The rebuild is complete! Our admins are now going to remount the affected filer and are working as quickly as possible. More updates to come. Thanks again for your patience!

Update 12:15pm PDT: The rebuild is still moving along nicely, and is now at 94%. More updates to come. Thanks again for your patience!

Update 11:45am PDT: The rebuild is moving along nicely, and is now at 85%. More updates to come. Thanks again for your patience!

Update 11:15am PDT: The rebuild is now at 74%. If the process continues at its current rate, it should just be a few more hours until we’re back up again. We are continuing to monitor this closely, and will post more updates as we have them.

HostExcellence: Web519 Maintenance 8/28/2015 2AM EDT – Resolved

System administrators have detected that there’s a risk of hard drive failures soon on Web519. As a precautionary measure, to ensure server stability and data integrity, we decided to migrate this server to virtualized environment. Now we performing background data sync from hardware server to virtual machine. No websites are affected by this operation. 8/28/2015 2AM EDT, Web519 will be brought down for a short period of time to sync all the changes happened during data copy and prevent any bit of data from being lost. After that downtime, new virtual server will be brought up as Web519.
