DreamHost: Large scale networking issues affecting a number of customers

Any DreamHost customers currently running into issues reaching their sites, email or any other services should be aware that a large scale networking problem is messing things up pretty badly at the moment. One of our admins has noted that it looks like a pretty massive denial of service (DoS) attack, but until our network admin has a look at what is going on, that is merely speculation.

As the issue progresses, we’ll update this status post with all of the latest information.

DreamHost: shared server ‘gambino’ downtime

DreamHost: Server, Gemini being failed to new hardware

A bit earlier this evening, the shared server, Gemini lost its public network interface, so while the machine is still up, it’s not accessible to the outside world.   We are currently in the process of migrating it over to new hardware, and will post again as soon as it becomes available.  We do apologize for any inconvenience.
